Verenda Cobbs is a caring, encouraging, and passionate woman of God from Norfolk Virginia. She has over 20 years of experience as a multi-dimensional influencer who has worked in the fields of public education, mental health, community outreach, non-profit, as well as corporate settings. She is a trained social worker with a Bachelors and Master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Verenda has also attended Faith Landmark Bible Institute and received other non-traditional education and training from mentors, coaches, and leaders in the faith community. These experiences have given her a unique ability to connect with various audiences from children to seasoned adults. 

Verenda is most passionate about supporting individuals, families, and communities to build confidence, resilience, as well as establishing a tool-kit of coping skills to become thriving citizens. Verenda has founded several ministries, helped to establish churches, and mentored leaders and visionaries to identify ways to creatively use their gifts in the marketplace and the kingdom of God. She is also very passionate about mentoring, coaching, and encouraging emerging and mature professionals to include those who have experienced trauma, vicarious trauma and mental health crisis. 


Verenda is an Amazon best-selling author, consultant, social worker, entrepreneur, mentor, influencer, community leader, and an ordained minister. She is also the founder and visionary of AARISE Coaching & Consulting, which is a multi-faceted, multi-dimensional consulting firm that focuses on helping everyday people with everyday challenges in their everyday life. She believes that all people can arise and shine after experiencing trauma and that the building resilience can help them to use their pain in order to shine through to achieve their purpose.

Verenda is the daughter of the late Bruce A. Cobbs and Michele Cobbs who resides in Virginia. She is also has two sisters- DeNessa and Kadizha, as well as neices and a nephew. She is most thankful for her family both immediate and extended who have provided understannding and love as she wears many hats to live out her purpose.
